On one hand, it’ll be amusing to see Tony and Steve fight for that role. “I wondered what it would be like…” she whispered softly.
Effie looked up at Haymitch, with a burning sensation in her chest and a tightening of her throat.
She felt sick.
She couldn’t bring herself to finish her sentence. So while Haymitch cocked his head sideways, searching the placid blue eyes of the woman in front of him, she just repeated herself.
“I’ve always just wondered,” she repeated.
“Wondered what?” he prodded.
Then she took his chin into her hand and kissed him slowly. He broke apart momentarily to look her in the eyes, almost as if to ensure her sincerity. Then he kissed her back.
Even better than the time they made Neville and Luna canon, I nearly stood up and started clapping at that part.

“So, Haymitch, you say you don’t have anything to miss? No wife?” Thalia does her best at casually flirting with Haymitch. I roll my eyes, trying to push down the jealousy when he smirks at her.
“No. No wife, but I’m finding myself interested in someone at the moment.”
“Oh really? Who might the lucky lady be?”
“Someone I met recently, actually, but she seems a little shy.”
“Oh.” It dawns on Thalia that he’s not talking about her. I feel smug until I notice Thalia’s eyes shift from Haymitch, to me and back again. A smirk finds its way onto her face. “Well, I think the lady needs to stop being so shy.” She purposefully makes eye contact with me, a satisfied grin on her face.
They’re two great wits well matched.
